Course Description:
The Principles of Grading and Assessment course is designed to empower educators with a comprehensive understanding of effective grading and assessment practices. This continuing development course, consisting of four modules spanning 240 minutes (equivalent to 2 course credits), equips teachers with essential knowledge and practical strategies to implement fair and meaningful grading and assessment methods in their classrooms.
Upon completing this course, educators will possess a solid understanding of grading and assessment principles and will be equipped with a toolkit of effective strategies to implement fair, consistent, and constructive grading and assessment practices in their classrooms. By promoting an enriched learning environment, teachers can support their students' growth and success on their educational journey.

Module 1 introduces participants to the core concepts of grading and assessment, laying the foundation for the subsequent modules.
Module 2 delves into the fundamental principles of effective assessment methods. Participants will gain insights into various assessment types and how to employ rubrics for clear evaluation.
Part 2: Wednesday, 10/15/2025 - 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM BKK time
Module 3 focuses on the principles of grading and introduces time-saving strategies to streamline the grading process. Participants will also explore the controversial practice of grading on a curve.
Module 4 focuses on the essential aspects of exam planning and various types of exam questions. Participants will gain insights into creating effective exam formats to assess student knowledge.
