Course Description:

The Principles of Curriculum and Planning course is designed for teachers seeking to enhance their understanding and proficiency in curriculum development and planning. Throughout four comprehensive modules, participants will explore the fundamental aspects of curriculum, syllabus construction, learning objectives, and effective lesson planning. This course offers educators practical insights, diverse examples, and invaluable strategies to create well-structured and engaging learning experiences for their students.

Upon completion of this course, teachers will possess a comprehensive understanding of curriculum development and planning. They will be equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to design well-structured curricula, create engaging lesson plans, and foster a conducive learning environment for their students. By mastering these principles, educators will be better prepared to meet the diverse needs of their students and facilitate meaningful educational experiences.

Part 1:  Friday, 10/10/2025 - 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM BKK time

Module 1 delves into the foundational concepts of curriculum, providing participants with a clear understanding of its significance in an educational context.

Module 2 focuses on the crucial process of creating a well-structured and effective syllabus. Participants will explore the elements that contribute to a comprehensive syllabus and learn how to tailor it to their specific teaching contexts.

Part 2: Monday, 10/13/2025 - 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM BKK time

Module 3 revolves around learning objectives, a fundamental component of curriculum planning. Participants will develop skills in writing clear and measurable objectives, distinguishing between learning and performance objectives, and aligning objectives with assessment strategies.

Module 4 immerses participants in the art of effective lesson planning, providing insights into creating dynamic and engaging learning experiences. Participants will explore various types of lessons and learn how to structure comprehensive lesson plans.
